Monitor Systems was first established in 1984 and became a limited company in 1999.

We have evolved alongside the care industry with the mission to bring all services in-house under our direct control. This is cost effective and achieves full coordination of the comprehensive range of systems that we offer.

Our Managing Director, John Newton, moved from teaching physics to door-to-door selling and installing house alarms and we grew from there. From house alarms we moved to more technical monitoring systems- home security, access controls, CCTV to nurse call. What set us apart was our ability to do all the technical expertise under one roof.

Our first break came in 1991 when we were offered to complete the package for a care home- not only installing technically challenging elements but also including plugs and sockets. Monitor Systems then became a complete package company for electrical installations and our focus was specifically on the care sector.

Since then we have completed over 200 care sector electrical installations. These have ranged from secure units, brain injury rehabilitation units, care and nursing homes, care villages and specialist care developments offering on site assisted living apartments combined with a core ‘hub’ facility and nursing care.

We are proud of our commitment to this sector and we rarely deviate from what we know. This has enabled us to form strong relationships with architects, consultants and care operators across the country who continue to work with us because of our in-depth knowledge and installation expertise.
